ChambreDog is simply a home just like yours, a welcoming and friendly place for well behaved dogs to rest, play and be loved whilst you take a break.  The French phrase "Chambre d'hôtes" has become internationally renowned for welcoming, typically French homely accommodation so in honour of the beautiful area in which we live and the warm hospitality we aim to offer, we named our place "ChambreDog".  We hope your pet loves it!

Location and Service                                            Back to Top

Just 10 minutes drive from Grasse, ChambreDog is located in Saint Cezaire sur Siagne within a dog's paradise; a spacious house with lots of covered terrace area, surrounded by a fully enclosed, large flat garden with loads of trees and so lots of space to play or to rest in the shade, bordered by fields and woods with a river nearby.  Download directions here.

We are not a kennel service!  Doggie guests stay with us, sharing our home with our own dog, an american chocolate brown lab called Canelle, with freedom to pad around the house and garden as they choose.  Dogs may sleep wherever they feel most comfortable.  Whether two nights or a month, your best friend is welcome to stay with us for short or longer stays and aside from having company all day every day, each dog will receive plenty of individual exercise and play daily.  We are happy to administer necessary medications free of additional charge.

As ChambreDog is a canine community, we welcome well behaved and trained pets, as its important that our guests all get on.  For this reason, we regret we are unable to look after most uncastrated males or aggressive breeds.  We do accept house-trained young dogs over twelve months of age, as long as they are likely to get on with other guests.  As a "Pension Familiale" we are limited to a maximum of nine doggie guests at any one time, depending on each dog's size and temperament, to ensure all dogs receive truly personal attention.

Quality natural food and treats are included in the guest rate, from Arden Grange, with up to 70% 'A' grade meat content and only natural ingredients.  Take a look at menus and ingredients here. If you wish to bring your friend's own favourite food, that's fine too of course, although we advise against bringing bones as it can cause difficulties with other guests.

Pricing & what to bring with you                                            Back to Top

Our rate is 25 euros per night which includes food, run of the house, exercise, fun & love as well as looking after any special needs your dog may have (e.g. giving medication, grooming and so on). Our minimum rate stay requirement is two nights, so 50 euros.  If you wish your dog to be bathed on arrival or before collection, there is a supplement of 20 euros.  For long stays (in excess of two weeks), we may ask you to arrange a trial stay of two nights, to ensure your dog is comfortable here.

Dogs become very attached to their own bed.  It helps to settle in more quickly if you bring your dog's own regular bed, cushion or blanket to use on one of our beds.  We have toys & bones a plenty, but also other dogs, so do bear in mind that any toys you bring may well become dog-eared or buried...   If your dog is a fussy eater, please bring their food bowl to help acclimatise him/her.

We ask you to bring their vaccination certificate (or pet passport)  on each visit together with any medication that they require.  We require all guests to have a valid vaccination against Rabies (La Rage), Leptospirosis and  Kennel Cough (Tout de Chenil), to ensure the well being of all.  If your dog becomes unwell whilst at ChambreDog, we will take he/she to our vet, Dr S. Junod in Saint Vallier de Thiey and notify you immediately.  A small transport charge may apply in this case.  All veterinary fees incurred are at your own expense.  If you have a pet insurance policy, please bring a copy with you.  If your pet has a pre-existing condition (allergy / illness), you should advise us when making a reservation.

Chica says hi!

Delivery and Collection: We are open for 'deliveries and collections' from 09:30 until 18:30, Monday to Saturday, although your pet will be more comfortable if he/she arrives with time to explore in daylight.  If you would like us to collect /deliver your dog to and from your home, there is a small supplement depending on your location, e.g. from from Cannes or Antibes, just 30 euros each way.  We recommend an inspection visit with your dog(s) in advance of their first stay, to ensure the pension will meet their requirements fully.  To book a visit, simply send us a message or call 06 25 75 38 64.
